Our Wichita compounding lab
Every compounded prescription from Dandurand Drugstore is made by our pharmacists in our own Wichita lab — not shipped in from out of state. We work under USP <795>, <797>, <800>, the national standards for safe, consistent compounding.
The USP standards we follow
Non-sterile compounding
Creams, gels, capsules, troches, flavored liquids and veterinary doses — the standard for ingredient quality, measuring, beyond-use dating and clean preparation.
Sterile compounding
Preparations that must be free of microorganisms, such as injectables. Made in a controlled cleanroom environment with gowning, air-quality and testing requirements.
Hazardous drug handling
Safe handling of hazardous ingredients, including certain hormones, to protect patients, staff and the environment through containment and cleaning procedures.
Made custom, made local
- Any strength prescribed. Every dose is compounded custom — there's no fixed menu.
- Your dosage form. Creams, capsules, troches, flavored liquids and more.
- 3–5 business days. Most compounded prescriptions are ready in 3–5 business days.
- Pharmacists you can meet. Ask questions at any of our Wichita locations.
How to order a compounded prescription
- Ask your provider to e-prescribe or fax it to your preferred Dandurand location — the printable prescription card has every address and fax number.
- Prescribers can also send a request through the online prescriber request form.
- We confirm coverage and cost, compound it, and call when it's ready for pickup or local delivery.
