Dandurand Drugstore opened in Wichita in 1976 as an independent compounding and retail pharmacy — and we've stayed locally owned and operated ever since. Five locations later, we're still family run, still compounding right here in Wichita, and still making every decision ourselves.
At Dandurand Drugs, we're committed to giving every customer the professional attention they deserve — for prescriptions, over-the-counter needs, and gifts. For nearly fifty years we've compounded custom medicines, served long-term care facilities across Wichita, and stocked shelves with thoughtful products chosen by hand.
One size doesn't fit all. Standard medications aren't always the right fit, and alterations are often needed to serve a patient the way they deserve to be served. That's why our compounding pharmacy exists: to meet the specific medication needs of every person who walks through the door.
We're proud to practice in a right-to-choose state. Long-term care residents pick their pharmacy — and hundreds have picked us. We partner with facilities to make service prompt, precise, and friendly.

How we grew across Wichita.
One counter on East Central became five Wichita pharmacies — each one opened where neighbors and local physicians asked us to be.

Dandurand East opens on E. Central
7732 E. Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67206. The original Dandurand Drugstore — an independent neighborhood apothecary, locally owned from the first day the doors opened.
- 1982
LTC pharmacy begins in the back room of Dandurand East
Around 1982, our long-term care service began right where we started — in the back room of the East location on E. Central. It grew for decades before moving to its own dedicated, closed-door site at 6181 E. 13th St N.
- 2014
Dandurand West opens at 21st & Ridge
2233 N. Ridge Rd, Wichita, KS 67205. Our west-side storefront, extending free local delivery and in-person pharmacist access across northwest Wichita.
- 2018
Dandurand Wellness opens near Wesley Medical Center
550 N. Hillside Ste 3-100, Wichita, KS 67214. Our campus location provides meds-to-beds transition-of-care service so patients leave the hospital with prescriptions already in hand.
- 2022
Dandurand E. Harry opens
4183 E. Harry St, Wichita, KS 67218. A storefront on the southeast side, bringing the same counter-side service closer to the neighborhoods around Harry Street.

Mandilyn is the Pharmacist-in-Charge at Dandurand Wellness inside of Wesley Medical Center, managing our compounding labs and their transition-of-care patients — a Wichita native who enjoys supporting her community, and raising her own Wichita family on the same streets we serve.
